In order to do justice to phenomena of verbal interaction, sound- and video-files of data analyzed can be published online with the articles.

Gesprächsforschung was founded in 2000. Ever since, more than 150 articles have been published. Annual volumes regularly comprise at least about 300 pages. Languages of publication are German and English.

Gesprächsforschung advocates an open access policy and is available without any cost.

The journal is funded by the German Research Council (DFG).
